After a fantastic trip back East to see friends and family, and then returning only to get sick for the first time in over 3 years, I am back at work (for realz) and recorded a short video for y’all:
As can see from my animated expression, I feel pretty darn passionate about how we’ve lost ourselves in our business, in our marketing, messaging and sales.
I’m fired up, because it’s yet another way we stop short of actually showing up and being our REAL selves.
What we’ve done is changed ourselves or “curated” who we are to fit into the formulas and systems we’ve learned. (Which are wonderful by the way, but not if we lose ourselves in the process.)
Even if we’re doing our level best to be more authentic and vulnerable – and many of us are – we’re still not bringing ALL of ourselves to our business. It’s what I call the ALL of the ALL, or the YOU of YOU, and that can feel like we’re letting it all hang out.
But it is what people need to see from us, that is where the heart to heart connection and magic happens.
So, instead of changing ourselves, instead let’s alter and customize the strategies to fit US.
